FL Studio 12 1 3 With Crack Download

FL Studio is a powerful music editing app. The app was previously known as Fruity Loops, but has undergone a transformation from a MIDI sequencer to a full audio editing app.

The FL Studio interface is intuitive, but it can be a little difficult for a first-time user to grasp. The browser window on the left side is the file resource window. This covers pre-sets to projects and scores. If you click on an item it will open up a drop down menu of elements. You can fill this library with your own loops and samples, although it already has a large amount of plug-ins, such as DirectWave, EQUO or Fruity Squeeze.

Key features:
  • Supports multiple midi-ins.
  • Loads of plugins.
  • Intuitive interface.
  • Smart search.
  • Multiple editing possibilities.
  • Mixer is filled with pre-sets.
FL Studio has a smart search function that helps you quickly find any track, tool or effect. The app comes with stacks of presets that will do the hard work for you. You just have to play around with editing your tracks in the original pattern window. This windows contains all the instruments you have selected; just create the pattern you want for each instrument. With FL Studio you can also use the playlist window which is divided into patterns at the top and audio tracks at the bottom.

FL Studio is a very good sequencer for anyone looking to make music. The browser view and multiple editing windows, such as playlist, piano roll or pattern, allow you to work in different ways. The app can also handle multiple midi-ins and has foot pedal sustain support.

Overall, this is a great music studio app that has tons of features and stacks of tools. The downside is the interface isnt too user friendly and novice users may become overwhelmed.

Computer generated fake papers are flooding academia

This story is all over the Internet, even making the Guardian newspaper. Im not entirely sure I agree with the statement that fake papers are "flooding" academia, but nonetheless it is worrying that bogus papers are being published by reputable publishers like Springer and the IEEE. However, in their defense these organisations/publishers do delegate the decisions on academic quality to individual conference chairs and programme committees. Its also not true that conferences with poor or negligible standards are just restricted to China. In 2004 I had two MSc students write and submit papers to a conference taking place in Wellington, New Zealand (KES2004). The students work was not very good and the papers they wrote were quite unexceptional and I fully expected that they would be duly rejected. I thought the rejection would be a good learning experience for the students and may encourage them to work harder in future; both were somewhat arrogant.
I was very surprised, and slightly mortified, when both papers were accepted by the conference. My name was on these papers as co-author and knew them to be substandard. Nonetheless, I thought that attending the conference might be a good experience for the students. When they returned I was very surprised to see that the conference proceedings, published by Springer in their LNCS series, ran to two volumes of 600+ pages each. Nowhere in the proceedings introduction did it say how many papers were submitted for review and what percentage were accepted. This conference series, run by a respected UK academic, seemed like a vanity publishing project to me.

Use Tabs in Windows Explorer like in mozilla Firefox

Tabs have made the way of surfing the Internet a lot easier. Using tabs in the browsers have eased up the trouble faced when switching between all the windows opened. Tabs are really the need of today that prevents from cluttering the desktop with lots of windows.

Using Tabs in the internet browsers like Firefox, Opera, IE7 and Chrome etc have made me feel the need of tabs in the Windows Explorer as well and I think there are many others like me who can’t live without tabbed browsing in the explorer.

Here is a way with which we can add tabs to the Windows Explorer, for example we can create one tab that contains all Windows Explorer folders, one for Internet and one for some other application.

Method 1:
QT TabBar

tabs for Windows Explorer
QTTabBar is an Add-In that gives Tab Browsing Feature to your Explorer. Just download and run this tool, and after that the computer needs to be restarted and you need to activate the toolbar in the View -> Toolbars menu.
Now every time you click on a new folder, it will be opened in a new tab. isn’t it cool?
Download QT TabBar

Method 2:
Window Tabifier

tabs for Windows Explorer
This program allows us to host several open Windows in one parent window so that you can easily access and navigate between them, as well as clean up space in the taskbar. This will allow us to group similar Windows together, easily navigate between them and clean up space in the taskbar.
Download Window Tabifier

Celebrating the First Set of Google Geo Education Awardees and Announcing Round Two

Googles GeoEDU Outreach program is excited to announce the opening of the second round of our Geo Education Awards, aimed at supporting qualifying educational institutions who are creating content and curricula for their mapping, remote sensing, or GIS initiatives.

If you are an educator in these areas, we encourage you to apply for an award. To celebrate the first round of awardees, and give a sense of the kind of work we have supported in the past, here are brief descriptions of some of our previous awards.

Nicholas Clinton, Tsinghua University
Development of online remote sensing course content using Google Earth Engine

Nick is building 10 labs for an introductory remote sensing class. Topics include studying electromagnetic radiation, image processing, time series analysis, and change detection. The labs are being taught currently, and materials will be made available when the course has been completed. From Lab 6:
truecolor.png
Lets look at some imagery in Earth Engine.  Search for the place Mountain View, CA, USA.  What the heck is all that stuff!?  We are looking at this scene because of the diverse mix of things on the Earth surface.
ndvi.png
Add the Landsat 8 32-day EVI composite.  What do you observe?  Recall that the more vegetative cover the higher the index.  It looks like the "greenest" targets in this scene are golf courses.
ndwi.png
Lets say we dont really care about vegetation (not true, of course!), but we do care about water.  Lets see if the water indices can help us decipher our Mountain View mystery scene.

Dana Tomlin, University of Pennsylvania
Geospatial Programming: Childs Play

Dana is creating documentation, lesson plans, sample scripts, and homework assignments for each week in a 13-week, university-level course on geospatial programming. The course uses the Python computer programming language to utilize, customize, and extend the capabilities of three geographic information systems: Google’s Earth Engine, ESRI’s ArcGIS, and the open-source QGIS.

Declan G. De Paor, Old Dominion University
A Modular Approach to Introducing Google Mapping Technologies into Geoscience Curricula Worldwide

Declans award supports senior student Chloe Constants who is helping design Google Maps Engine and Google Earth Engine modules for existing geoscience coursework, primarily focused on volcanic and tectonic hazards, and digital mapping. Declan and Chloe will present the modules at faculty development workshops in person and online. They see GME/GEE as a terrific way to offer authentic undergraduate research experiences to non-traditional geoscience students.

Mary Elizabeth Killilea, New York University
Google Geospatial Tools in a Global Classroom: “Where the City Meets the Sea: Studies in Coastal Urban Environments"

Mary and the Global Technology Services team at NYU are developing a land cover change lab using Google Earth Engine. NYU has campuses around the world, so their labs are written to be used globally. In fact, students in four campuses around the globe are currently collecting and sharing data for the lab. Students at their sites analyze their local cities, but do so in a global context.

DataCollection.jpg
One group of students used Android mobile devices to collect land use data in New Yorks Battery Park.
AbuDhabiLocations.jpg
While others in the same course collected these points in Abu Dhabi. Upon collection, the observations were automatically uploaded, mapped, and shared.

Scott Nowicki and Chris Edwards, University of Nevada at Las Vegas
Advanced Manipulation and Visualization of Remote Sensing Datasets with Google Earth Engine

Scott and Chris are taking biology, geoscience, and social science students on a field trip to collect geological data, and are generating screencast tutorials to show how these data can be queried, downloaded, calibrated, manipulated and interpreted using free tools including Google Earth Engine. These tutorials may be freely incorporated into any geospatial course, and all the field site data and analyses will be publicly released and published, giving a full description of what features are available to investigate, and how best to interpret both the remote sensing datasets and ground truth activities.

Steven Whitmeyer and Shelley Whitmeyer, James Madison University
Using Google Earth to Model Geologic Change Through Time

Steven and Shelley are building exercises for introductory geoscience courses focusing on coastal change, and glacial landform change. These exercises incorporate targets and goals of the Next Generation Science Standards. They are also developing tools to create new tectonic reconstructions of how continents and tectonic plates have moved since Pangaea breakup. Some of the current animations are available here and here.

We hope this overview of previous award recipients gives you a sense for the range of educational activities our GeoEDU awards are supporting. If you are working on innovative geospatial education projects, we invite you to apply for a GeoEDU award.

PowerShell v2 Function Get FileSignature

I started working on this one a few weeks ago, but, finally wrapped up a working, first version of a function that validates file signatures against extensions. Its basic, but, in simple usage, simply returns $true, $false, or, No matching signatures were found., indicating whether the file passed to the -FullName (aliased -Path) parameter has a signature matching its extension. Now, I have a pretty raw file signature database I pulled of Gary Kesslers site, but, it works well enough for this proof of concept:
http://www.garykessler.net/software/FileSigs_20110719.zip
To run it, with basic options, call the function like this, which returns a basic result:
Get-FileSignature -Fullname C:WindowsSystem32cmd.exe
True
If you want to pass pipelined objects to it as well, you can like this:
Get-ChildItem "C:WindowsSystem32c*" |
Where {!$_.PSIsContainer} |
% { Get-FileSignature -Fullname $_.fullname}
When you run it this way you get one of the three results listed above:
True
True
True
True
True
True
True
True
True
True
True
True
No match in database
A more useful example would be:
Get-ChildItem "C:WindowsSystem32c*" |Where {!$_.PSIsContainer} |
% { Get-FileSignature -Fullname $_.fullname}
which returns:
cabinet.dll - True
cabview.dll - True
cacls.exe - True
calc.exe - True
capiprovider.dll - True
capisp.dll - True
catsrv.dll - True
catsrvps.dll - True
catsrvut.dll - True
cca.dll - True
cdd.dll - True
cdosys.dll - True
cero.rs - No match in database
Some of the more "advanced" features are

  • -UpdateSignatures: update the database
  • -Suggestion: predictive analysis which returns possible matches based on file signatures
In my case, I define the Signature database against a directory I have location on my machine. If the location does not exist the first time you run the script, it will be created for you. This option is best run not as a part of a pipelined command as it will continuously prompt you to test, download, and, update the .zip. Below is an example of how to run it:
Get-FileSignature -UpdateSignatures
To run the suggestions (useful if you are not sure about a given extensions validity) you can use this:
Get-ChildItem "C:WindowsSystem32c*" |
Where {!$_.PSIsContainer} |
% { Get-FileSignature -Fullname $_.fullname -Suggestion} |
select filename, fileextensions
This is a VERY chatty option unless you are dealing with obscure directories. In this case, here is a "small" sample output:
FileName                                                      FileExtensions
--------                                                      --------------

PowerShell v3 in a Year Day 12 about Line Editing

Hardly a meaty topic, but, about_Line_Editing shows how to take full advantage of the keyboard when working inside the shell interface.  Below are some of the simple commands for single character/word navigation:
  • To move the cursor one character to the left, press the LEFT ARROW key.
  • To move the cursor one word to the left, press CTRL+LEFT ARROW.
  • To move the cursor one character to the right, press the RIGHT ARROW key.
  • To move the cursor one word to the right, press CTRL+RIGHT ARROW.
To quickly navigate to the start and end of a line:
  • To move to the beginning of a line, press the HOME key.
  • To move to the end of a line, press the END key.
Deleting characters comes in two flavors:
  • To delete the character in behind the cursor, press the BACKSPACE key.
  • To delete the character in front of the cursor, press the DELETE key.
Deleting the Remainder of a line has a single stroke:
    • To delete all the characters in the line after the cursor, press CTRL+END.
Insert/Overstrike Mode are really toggled option of the same key:
      • To change to overstrike mode, press the INSERT key.
      • To return to insert mode, press INSERT again.
Tab Completion is one of the most helpful features in v3. Instead of having to retype a command, you can insert the cursor mid-string and tab to complete a variety of options
      • To complete a command, such as the name of a cmdlet, a cmdlet parameter, or a path, press the TAB key. If the first suggestion that is displayed is not what you want, press the TAB key again.

      Making Win Xp 60 Faster

Whenever you start your computer, you are faced with a few moments of thumb twiddling while Windows XP boots and prompts you to log on. Although you should expect to wait for a few moments, sometimes Windows XP seems to boot rather slowly. In fact, you may notice that over a period of time the PC that used to roar to life seems a bit sluggish instead. Fortunately, you can perform several techniques that help Windows XP get the bootup speed you want. This chapter explores how to put these techniques to work.

Some of the things may already have been discussed in some threads earlier

      Stopping Unneeded Startup Services

Along with the core operating system and programs that Windows XP runs when it starts, there is also a host of services involved. Many of these services are necessary for Windows XP to operate correctly. However, many of them are for features in Windows XP that you may not use at all. You can peruse the services and disable any service that you do not want to run. The fewer services that run, the more quickly Windows XP will boot.

Caution: Exercise caution when stopping services. If you do not know what a service does or are unsure of the ramifications of stopping the service, leave it alone. Some services are critical to Windows XPs operations, so make sure you understand what the service is before you disable it.

To reduce the number of services that start on bootup, you can access two different areas of Windows XP. The first is the System Configuration Utility. The Services tab shows you the services that start when the computer boots.

You can stop a service from starting by simply clearing the check box next to the service and clicking OK. However, before you do so, there is another way to disable services that you may prefer because the interface gives you more information about the service in question.

Open Control Panel/Administrative ToolsServices or else select Start/Run, type services.msc, and click OK. Either way, you see the Services console.

I prefer to use the Services console instead of the System Configuration Utility because it describes what the service does. Additionally, you can double-click a service and examine its properties.

Notice the Startup Type column in Figure 4-2. This information lists whether the service is automatic or manual. Manual services are only started in Windows XP when you start a process that requires the service. Some other process may require the service that has a "dependency" relationship with it; in this case, the dependency service will start, as well. Because these services do not start automatically when you boot Windows XP, you do not need to do anything with manual services.

However, all services listed as automatic start when Windows XP boots. These are the services that increase boot time. As I have mentioned, many of them are necessary and important, so you should not stop automatic services from booting unless you are sure of the ramifications. You can get this information by looking at the Description column. Heres a quick look at common services you may want to live without:

Automatic Updates: This service enables Windows XP to check the Web automatically for updates. If you dont want to use
Automatic Updates, you can disable the service. You can always check for updates manually at the Windows Update Web site.

Computer Browser: If your computer is not on a network, you dont need this service. If you are on a network, leave it alone.

DHCP Client: If you are not on a network, you do not need this service. If you are on a small workgroup, you can still increase boot time by configuring manual IP addresses (which I explore later in this chapter).

DNS Client: If you are not on a network, you do not need this service. If you are, leave it alone.

Error Reporting and Event Log: You dont have to use these services but they can be very helpful, so I would leave them configured as automatic.

Fax: If you dont use your computer for fax services, you can disable this one. Help and Support: If you never use the Windows XP

Help and Support Center (found on the Start menu), you can disable this service.

IMAPI CD-Burning COM: This service enables you to burn CDs on your computer. If you never burn CDs, you can disable the service.

Indexing Service: Your computer keeps an index of files but if you rarely search for files, the service is just a resource hog. You can stop it and turn the service to manual.

Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing: If you do not use these features, you can disable them.

Infrared Monitor: If you do not use infrared devices, you can disable this service.

Messenger: This service sends alert messages on a local area network (it is not the same as Windows Messenger). If you are not on a network, you can disable this service.

Print Spooler: If you do not do any printing from the computer, you can disable this service. If you print, make sure you leave it as automatic.

Remote Registry: This service allows remote users to modify the Registry on your computer. If you are not on a network, you can disable this service.

System Restore Service: This service allows you to use System Restore. If you have turned off System Restore anyway, you do not need to turn off the service. If you do, you turn off System Restore.

Themes: If you do not use themes, you can disable this service.

Windows Image Acquisition: If you do not use scanners or digital cameras, you can disable this service.

Wireless Zero Configuration: If do not use wireless networking devices, you can disable this service.

You may have a number of other automatic services, depending on software and other configurations on your computer. So its a good idea to look through the services and learn more about them. If you double-click a service, a Properties dialog box appears

Notice that on the General tab, you see a Startup Type drop-down menu. If you want to change an automatic service to manual, select Manual here and click OK. As a general rule, dont disable a service unless you are sure you will never use it.

However, manual configuration allows the service to be started when you find it necessary, thus speeding up your boot time. However, before you change a service to manual, look at the Dependencies tab (see Figure 4-4). This tab shows you which other services depend upon the service you are considering changing.

Keep in mind that services are necessary for the vast functionality you get with Windows XP. Change only those services that you understand and do not use. How you use your Windows XP computer should be the best guide in terms of optional startup services.

      Tip:

The Indexing service and the System Restore service take up a lot of disk space and system resources across the board.
You can live without the Indexing service but I suggest that you keep using System Restore. It works great when you are in a bind and this is one case where the loss of speed may not be worth the ramifications of not using System Restore. Speed Tips and Tricks for Windows XP Startup Aside from startup programs, services, and the Prefetch folder, there are a number of other startup procedures and issues you can modify to help Windows XP start faster. The following sections explore those tips and tricks. Manual IP Addressing on Small Office/Home Networks Windows XP is configured to help you take care of networking. It uses the TCP/IP protocol for networking in workgroups, or what you might call small office or home networks that do not use a dedicated server. The problem is that automatic IP addressing can be slow. When your computer boots, it has to query the network to see what IP addresses are already in use and then assign itself one. If you want to speed up the boot time a bit, consider manually assigning IP addresses to all computers on the network. This way, the network computers do not have to worry about locating an automatic IP address. Because one is manually configured, the operating system doesnt have to spend time solving this problem. This isnt a networking book, however, so I wont delve into the implications of using a manual IP address, but if you are using a computer that functions as a host computer to the Internet (using Internet Connection Sharing [ICS]), you can get into connectivity problems if you change the configuration of the IP address. However, you can still work around this problem by starting with the ICS host computer. Select Start/Connect To/Show All Connections. Right-click your network adapter card and click Properties. On the General tab, select TCP/IP in the list of services and click the Properties button. In the TCP/IP properties, you can see if you use an automatic or manual IP address. In the example in Figure 4-5, I have configured a manual IP address of 90.0.0.1 and a default subnet mask. The other computers on my office network each use a different IP address in the same class, such as 90.0.0.2, 90.0.0.3, 90.0.0.4, and so on. This way, each computer has a permanent IP address, which helps increase boot time. Note that if you change the IP addresses of your computers, they must all use the same subnet mask. A default subject mask of 255.255.255.0 will keep you in good shape. Make sure you understand the implications of changing IP addresses on your network. If you have no networking experience at all, you may be wiser to leave the automatic IP addressing as is and try to gain some speed using the additional suggestions in this chapter. Disabling Recent Documents History Windows XP includes a feature that keeps track of all recent documents you have opened or used. The idea is that you can select Start/Recent Documents History and quickly reopen any document you have recently used. I use many documents each day and never use the feature myself. In my opinion, I can keep up with what I want to use without Windows XP doing it for me. The bad thing about Recent Documents History is that Windows XP has to calculate what should be put there each time you boot Windows, which can slow things down. So, if you never use the Recent Documents History, its a good idea to disable it.

      Heres how:
      1. Open the Registry Editor (select Start/Run, type regedit, and click OK).
      2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMcftWindows CurrentVersionPoliciesExplorer.
      3. Create a NoRecentDocsHistory D_WORD key. Double-click the value to open it once it is created.
      4. Set the Data Value to 1 to enable the restriction.
      5. Click OK and close the Registry Editor. Youll need to restart the computer for the change to take effect. Disabling the Boot Logo You can remove the boot logo that appears when you start Windows XP. This little tweak probably shaves only a few seconds off your boot time but seconds count if you are serious about trying to get Windows XP up and running as quickly as possible. The only negative is that if you remove the boot logo, you will also not see any boot messages, such as check disk. (But if you are not having problems with your computer, this isnt such a big deal.)
To remove the boot logo, follow these steps:
      1. Select Start/Run, type msconfig, and click OK.
      2. In the System Configuration Utility, click the BOOT.INI tab.
      3. On the BOOT.INI tab, click the NOGUIBOOT check box option. Click OK. Removing Unwanted Fonts One trick that increases your boot time a bit is to lose any fonts in the Fonts folder in Control Panel that you never use. The more fonts you have, the more processing Windows XP has to do to prep all of those fonts for use. You must be a bit careful here to not remove fonts that you might want, but there is a good chance that you can live without many of them. For instance, you may have foreign language fonts and other symbol fonts (such as Wingdings) that you never use. To delete unneeded fonts, follow these steps:
      1. Open the Fonts folder in Control Panel.
      2. Select Edit/Select All and then Edit/Copy.
      3. Create a new folder on your desktop, open it, and select Edit/Paste.
      4. In this new folder, delete any of the fonts you do not want.
      5. Return to the Fonts folder in Control Panel. Right-click the selected fonts and click Delete.
      6. Go back to your new desktop folder and click Edit/Select All.
      7. Return to your Fonts folder and click Edit/Paste. You now have only the desired fonts in the Fonts folder. Tip: You can directly delete fonts from the Fonts folder without creating the secondary folder. However, I recommend the preceding steps to help ensure that you do not make a mistake in the deletion process. Stopping Remote Assistance and Remote Desktop Sharing In Windows XP Professional, you have two remote networking features called Remote Assistance and Remote Desktop Sharing. These remote networking features are very helpful in a variety of situations but if you dont use them, it is good idea to disable them to save boot time. You can always enable them later if you want to use them. Note: If you are interested in using Remote Desktop or Remote Assistance, see my book Windows XP for Power Users: Power Pack published by John Wiley & Sons.
      1. Open the Start menu, right-click My Computer, and choose Properties.
      2. Click the Remote Tab.
      3. Clear both check boxes to disable Remote Assistance and Remote Desktop. Speeding Up the Dual-Boot Timeout If you dual-boot your computer with Windows XP and another operating system, you see an operating system selection menu on startup. If you typically boot into Windows XP and not the other operating system, you can speed up the dual-boot timeout value so that you do not wait so long for the boot process to select your default operating system and continue with the boot process. The default timeout value is 30 seconds but you can change this setting to 10. This gives you enough time to select the alternate operating system if you want but also speeds up the boot process. You can skip this section if you do not use a dual-boot configuration.
      Follow these steps:
      1. Locate the boot.ini file on your computer. It is a hidden file by default; mine is located in C: oot.ini.
      2. Open the file with Notepad (which is what opens it by default).
      3. Change the Timeout value to 10 (see Figure 4-11).
      4. Select File/Save and close Notepad. Speeding Up Your PPPoE Connection If you use a Point-to-Point Protocol connection over Ethernet (PPPoE), you may notice a delay in using the PPPoE connection after startup. By default, there is a 120 second delay but you can stop this behavior by manually configuring an IP address for the network adapter card. If you do not use a PPPoE connection, you can skip this section.
      1. Select Start/Connect to/Show All Connections.
      2. Open the TCP/IP properties for your LAN network interface card.
      3. Manually set the IP address on the TCP/IP properties to an appropriate IP address and subnet mask for your network. Reducing the Wait Time When you start to shut down Windows XP, it has to quit, or "kill," any live applications or processes that are currently running. So close all applications first. However, some applications and processes are always running in the background. You can reduce the amount of time that Windows XP waits for those applications and processes to close before Windows XP kills them. Edit three different Registry settings to change this:
      1. Open the Registry Editor.
      2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelDesktop. Select WaitToKillAppTimeout and set the value to 1000.
      3. Select the HungAppTimeout value and set it to 1000 as well. 4
. Navigate to HKEY_USERS.DEFAULTControl PanelDesktop. Set the WaitToKillAppTimeout and set the value to 1000. Select the HungAppTimeout ewline value and set it to 1000 as well.
      5. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetContro l. Select the WaitToKillServiceTimeout value and set it to 1000.
      6. Close the Registry Editor. Automatically Killing Tasks on Shutdown You know the drill. You start to shut down the computer, you wait a few moments, and then you see a dialog box asking if you want to kill an application or service that is running. Instead of prompting you, you can make Windows XP take care of the kill task automatically. Heres how:
      1. Open the Registry Editor.
      2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelDesktop.
      3. Highlight the value AutoEndTasks and change the value to 1.
      4. Close the Registry Editor.

PowerShell v3 in a Year Day 13 Clear Host

      Topic: Clear-Host
      Alias: cls, clear

When working with the console host extensively, I find a need to wipe the slate clean from time to time. Clear-Host is the perfect cmdlet to do the job. When you call Clear-Host, "the function removes all text from the current display, including commands and output that might have accumulated. When complete, it displays the command prompt." Two aliases for Clear-Host are cls and clear. Both will affect only the current display. It is important to keep in mind "it does not delete saved results or remove any items from the session. Session-specific items, such as variables and functions, are not affected by this function." So, you can use Clear-Host without fear it will negatively impact any actual work you are doing unless you explicitly require output in the host. One last caveat is to realize that the behavior of Clear-Host is determined by the host program calls to the cmdlet may result in different responses on different hosts.

How to add space between words in a blogger post

Ave you ever tried to keep more than one space between two words. If no try first. Blogger does not allow you to add more than one space between two words. Even if you try pressing space-bar hundred times, it will not work.
Below words are separated with 10 spaces:
      Vinod          Vinod

Now coming to the point, there are two ways to do this:
      • Using non-breaking space ( )
      • using pre tag (<pre> </pre>)

To add any number add spaces, put that many number of (&nbsp;) between those words.
Eg: Copy and paste the following code in your post:
      Vinod&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Vinod

Now, well try the second method:
Using pre tag, we can add space with your Space-bar itself. Now, you can add hundred spaces with your Space-bar.
      Try This: Vinod<pre>                   </pre>Vinod

Note: All these tricks have to be done in Edit Html tab of create post. After doing this trick, do not go to Compose tab. Otherwise, again there will be only one space.
      Enjoy blogging!!!

Assembly Language Step by Step Programming with Linux Ebook

The eagerly anticipated new edition of the bestselling introduction to x86 assembly language.

The long–awaited third edition of this bestselling introduction to assembly language has been completely rewritten to focus on 32–bit protected–mode Linux and the free NASM assembler. Assembly is the fundamental language bridging human ideas and the pure silicon hearts of computers, and popular author Jeff Dunteman retains his distinctive lighthearted style as he presents a step–by–step approach to this difficult technical discipline.

He starts at the very beginning, explaining the basic ideas of programmable computing, the binary and hexadecimal number systems, the Intel x86 computer architecture, and the process of software development under Linux. From that foundation he systematically treats the x86 instruction set, memory addressing, procedures, macros, and interface to the C–language code libraries upon which Linux itself is built.
      • Serves as an ideal introduction to x86 computing concepts, as demonstrated by the only language directly understood by the CPU itself.
      • Uses an approachable, conversational style that assumes no prior experience in programming of any kind.
      • Presents x86 architecture and assembly concepts through a cumulative tutorial approach that is ideal for self–paced instruction.
      • Focuses entirely on free, open–source software, including Ubuntu Linux, the NASM assembler, the Kate editor, and the Gdb/Insight debugger.
      • Includes an x86 instruction set reference for the most common machine instructions, specifically tailored for use by programming beginners.
      • Woven into the presentation are plenty of assembly code examples, plus practical tips on software design, coding, testing, and debugging, all using free, open–source software that may be downloaded without charge from the Internet.
