Password protect internet explorer8 Browser

Below are the steps to password protect Windows IE8 without any software.

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Select Tools >> Internet options.
3. Click on content tab.
4. Under Content Adviser, Click Enable.
5. A Content adviser window pops up, you need to set admin password.
6. Click on General tab on the new window.
7. Click on create password
8. Type-in the password and write a password hint to recover the password in case you forget your password.
9. Click OK twice.
10. Now, Whenever you open a site you will have to enter the password to gain access.

What does Privacy Mean to New Zealanders in the Internet Age

This Thursday is the 1st lecture in the annual Gibbons Memorial lecture series. The first lecture is by Professor Miriam Lips of the School of Government, Victoria University of Wellington, titled: What does Privacy Mean to New Zealanders in the Internet Age?

Miriam Lips is the first Professor of E-Government at Victoria University of Wellington. This chair is sponsored by industry - Datacom System, FX Networks, Microsoft New Zealand – and the NZ government - the State Services Commission and the Department of Internal Affairs.

Professor Lips holds a MSc and a PhD from Erasmus University Rotterdam and an EMPA from Erasmus University, Leiden University and the Hochschule für Verwaltungswissen-schaften, Speyer. She has held academic positions at the University of Oxford and Tilburg University. Her current research includes management of online identity, use of social media for public engagement, the use of e-campaigning and the use of new media in disaster management.

Synopsis: Based on a 2013 survey with a representative sample of the New Zealand population, this talk will explore how, and to what extent, different groups of the New Zealand population are disclosing and protecting their personal information in varying online relationships with the private sector, government, and family and friends through social networking. The meaning of privacy for people from different age groups, ethnicities, educational backgrounds, and income groups will be discussed, and the implications for a population which increasingly exchanges their identity information online, against the backdrop of new privacy challenges and risks emerging from the use of Big Data.

The Internet Is Failing The Website Preservation Test

I blogged a few months back about the increasing problem of dead links (known as link rot) on research web sites. Not surprisingly this problem is not isolated to academic websites. An article by Rob Miller in TechChrunch, called "The Internet Is Failing The Website Preservation Test," makes the case for a a digital Library of Congress to preserve and protect all of the content on the internet to counter this growing problem. Preserving the integrity of the web for posterity cannot he (and others) argue be left to content publishers or non-profits like the Internet Archives Wayback Machine or the British Librarys UK Web Archive. The web is such a vital information source to us all know it must be preserved for future historians.

Do you use Internet glue

Do you use Internet glue? Do you know what it is? Basically its a web service that links two web services together; hence the name Internet glue. For example, actions  you take in your webmail system could to update your ToDo list, or add a calendar reminder. Back in January I blogged about how I use IFTTT (if this then that) to create and disseminate these blog posts. Increasingly though these systems are starting to integrate with our smartphones. IFTTT can use the iPhones location to trigger actions and can integrate with iOS reminders, contacts and the camera roll.  IFTTT has now launched on Android with a deeper set of integrations with the OS than their iOS offering. This is possible because Android has a "more laissez-faire attitude when it comes to allowing apps to extend their tentacles into core OS functions."
If you havent started using IFTTT I highly recommend you do. Not only can it smooth your workflow but it can also be fun.

Step-2: Now get simple server Modified by Akash.rar file. Click here to get simple server Modified by Akash. This software need to extract. You can use software winrar or 7 zip for extract this software. If you have no any software for extract software. You can get from here. 

Just click here and get winrar.exe.

Step-3: Now run as administrator “SimpleServer By Akash” this. A cmd window will be open and take some time for loading text. Wait about 3-4 minutes for loading text. When you will see that the text do not take loading, you can minimize it.

Step-4: Now open your internet browser Firefox and complete Proxy setting use of under review.

HTTP Proxy: 127.0.0.1

Port: 8080

Step-5: Then open your internet get manager (IDM) and complete details to follow these settings.

HTTP Proxy: 127.0.0.1

Port: 8080

Just HTTP & HTTPS  option in IDM.

That’s it. Now enjoy unlimited use give GP internet on your PC with all software. Even Skype.
